 Children at CEDA

Our children and young people's service was originally established in 1999 as a fun holiday club.  Increasing demand from parents for more activities for their children led to an expansion in services to include an After School Club and Saturday Club.  All of these offer our users opportunities for social, creative, developmental and learning activites.  The facilities offered at CEDA are available and used by children and young people with a range of disabilities including physical, sensory and learning disabilities and behavioural difficulties.

We ensure we offer a quality service by;

  • Providing generous staffing ratios to ensure children and young people fully participate.
  • Investing in training for staff to ensure we maintain our high standards, and have expertise in all areas.
  • Being registered with Ofsted and complying with procedures laid down in Every Child Matters.  We were assessed as "good" and "outstanding" in our most recent Ofsted inspection.
  • Assessing young people who may be ready for our adult services, where a transitional programme can be put in place. This way young people can gradually start to take part in adult sessions.
